Poor Darcy had a surgery on the archilles-tendon of her left foot and must use crutches for some weeks because the doctor told her not to put any weight on her left foot to improve the healing-process. So Darcy has to struggle around on her crutches or hop without them, always trying to keep her poor foot in the air and not to put any weight on it since it hurts like hell. So we meet Darcy on the way home from the doctor on her crutches, she bravely crutches along the street holding her left leg in front and her foot high in the air. She comes along a children playground and she can't resist, she MUST use the swing, so she lays down the crutches and the entrance of the playground and hops over to the swing on one leg. Camera shows her mostly in total while she hops over the playground to the swing. When she sits on the swing, camera explores her left socked foot. When she hops she still holds her left leg 90 degrees angled in front, heel up, toes down (pointe). On the swing she holds her left leg stiff in front, toes pointing forward. Then she starts swinging for a while she holds her injured left leg in front so it does NOT touch the ground and uses only her right leg to push off. Then she continues her crutchingjourney and soon reaches her house and needs to conquer the stairs up to her apartment. She holds the crutches in one hand and holds on with the other hand to the handrail and hops up the stairs. Finally she hops into the apartment and part 1 ends.
